The Association of Pacific Staff in Tertiary Education (APSTE) and Ako Aotearoa are proud to jointly host the third New Zealand Pacific Tertiary Education Forum.
The forum provides an open environment for sharing sector wide approaches to shaping the practices, systems, and policies of those who have a stake and interest in this dimension of tertiary education.
University of Canterbury Pasifika Doctoral Scholarships
The University of Canterbury is offering up to two PhD scholarships for Pacific students and expressions of interest are invited from interested scholars to carry out full-time or and part-time research for a doctoral degree at the University. Applicants must have met the academic requirements for enrolment in a research doctoral degree at the university. Applications will not be accepted from candidates who already hold a research doctoral degree. Applicants must have received final confirmed grades for the qualifying degree by 10 December 2017. Applicants must be of Pasifika heritage.
The deadline for applications is 15 Oct 2017, 11:59 pm (EST time zone).

Programme
The fono programme will cover broad strategic themes, and was based around a series of panels to both promote discussion and account for the varied voices, perspectives, and situations of Pacific learners across the tertiary education system.
